Well, are we all in training to become penguins? It felt like it today as me and the polish walked around the car boot sale in the rain...what was even more bizzare was the sellers who were just standing there with all there goods out as if they had not noticed! Everything was just getting ruined.
Still after a detour for a sausage and egg Mc muffin, we were back home early, ie before noon!
So I decided to get my finger out and be creative. I raided the vast vintage material stack we have and decided to make a cover for this chair...

I love your new chair cover. I have a chair of mine that's crying out fo one, but I'm a little intimidated to try!
HA! I'd forgotten how exhausting it is reading your Sunday exploits - next week I'll make a cuppa before I sit down to visit! Love the patchwork chair. So much nicer because now you don't have to worry about spills - you can just add another patch! My kind of chair! t.x

Hi Fred - great job with the chair! - I've made some slip covers in my time and can appreciate how hard you have worked on this - particularly having the patchwork design - I would not say that your sewing skills were basic at all!
Enjoy the car boot sales over the BH w/e,
Niki

there is nothing basic about your sewing - it looks great, and such lovely fabrics.
as for the van.....
is that really a car inside?
who loads a car in to the back of a van??????
it must have been working in order for them to load it up - why not just drive the car - odd but a very cool picture :)
sorry to hear the weather is bad with you - we have had a great Summer here in Caithness.....
fancy a move?
you and the gorgeous Mrs Happy may need a MUCH larger van than the one in the picture!!
many hugs to you
